Women's long shirt

Soeur designs the long shirt as a piece that extends the silhouette, from the collar down to the thigh, or even below the knee. Within our collection of shirts, it comes in fluid or structured, in lightweight cotton for summer, in linen for travelling, or in ample denim for cooler days. The length transforms the piece: what was a shirt becomes almost a shirt dress, with the same precision of cut and the same attention to the drape.

From mid-season to summer days

The long shirt is one of the transitional-season pieces in the collection. In lightweight cotton or linen, it is worn open over a vest or tied at the waist, as soon as coats become less necessary. Its length, which covers the shoulders without weighing down, makes it the ideal travel companion: taken to the seaside to wear over a swimsuit, kept for cooler evenings on terraces. In winter, the ample denim and the long silk twill Blouse come in turn, to be worn under a wool blazer or with a fine pullover as a base layer. In white, it extends the spirit of a white shirt classique on a more relaxed silhouette. Sleeves rolled up in spring, sleeves down in fall: the shirt changes its gesture more than its form.

What to wear with a long shirt?

The long shirt accommodates just as well a jeans denim raw, left to fall below the hem, as much as with wide trousers that extend its drape. For a more tucked-in effect, it is half-tucked into the belt and shaped at the waist. For a more relaxed effect, it is worn open over a vest or a fine t-shirt, with a leather belt and flat sandals. In a maxi version, open and long down to the calves, it comes close to an oversized shirt worn as a second skin over shorts or a swimsuit. The gesture is simple, the result just right.
