SUMMER PORTRAIT
Sarah lives in London, where she works as a designer. With a degree in "surface design", Sarah combines her modelling career with her creative practice, and loves capturing the beauty of everyday objects. This summer, she is travelling to Sicily, in the Ortigia region, and shares her favourite addresses with us.
This summer, Sarah is reading "Weight of the Earth: the tape journals of David Wojnarowicz", while listening to the album Hijos del Sol by Hermanos Gutiérrez.
"I always try to find a place that best reflects the local charm and character of the city. A quiet patio or balcony, with air conditioning of course — that is non-negotiable."
"This is the third time I am going to Ortigia, so I can only recommend it.
The island is scattered with historic monuments, galleries and small local shops. Like the impressive Greek theatre."
Among her favourite addresses: the wine bar Casamatta in Taormina, Allumettes café and Divino Mare in Ortigia.
