THE COLLABORATION
The meeting between Sophia Roe and Soeur reflects their shared affinities for timeless silhouettes, a subtle sense of colour and precision of line.
In a nocturnal chromatic palette of black, ivory, putty and purple details, the collection spans 17 pieces.
An airy caftan dress skims the skin and opens into a dizzying open back. A masculine tailored trousers in soft cotton twill, worn at the hip, contrasts with the transparency of a draped cape top.
The silhouettes are structured around seven essential accessories, including an oversized clutch in embossed leather, second-skin pumps with translucent plexiglass heels and statement jewellery.
« I don't have a sister. In fact, I have 3 brothers. I always wanted one though. Someone to share early womanhood, and perhaps closet with. Instead, I share this with my friends, the women in my life. I have always been obsessed with women characters, as I possess many, different characteristics, as you must do as a woman of modern age. Both my Scandinavian heritage, but also my childhood growing up with brothers gave me confidence in my masculine instincts. It's the balance between the soft and the secure I am drawn to. We worked on this collection with exactly that I mind. Sharpness with softness, ever attracting opposites equals a woman, and her womanhood of today, I think. »
